Position the document on the scanner.
Select the scanner from the drop-down list.
Select the Document Type from the drop-down list.
If necessary, enter a description for the scan.
If you need to see the scan before saving, select the Preview check box.
Click Scan. Make any necessary adjustments using the manual or automatic controls.
Click OK.
Manual Controls
Rotate – lets you turn the image to a different direction.
Click Rotate.
Select the degree to turn the image or select Manual and enter your own value.
Click OK.
Pan – lets you move the document on the screen to see other areas when the image is larger than the viewing area.
Click Pan. Your cursor appears as a hand.
Hold down your left mouse key and drag the image to reposition.
Zoom – lets you increase or decrease the size of the image.
Click Zoom. Your cursor appears as a small magnifying glass.
To make the image larger, click the area you want to make bigger. You can click an area many times.
To make the scan smaller, right-click the image.
Crop – lets you select the important part of an image and discard the content outside the selected area.
Click Crop. The button displays a green check mark.
Drag a rectangle around the part of the image you want to keep.
Click Crop again.
Automatic Controls
Fit to screen – adjusts the image to fill the size of your screen.
Despeckle – used to remove small imperfections from the scanned image. This can be caused by dust or dirt on the scanner or document.
Remove Noise – used to remove larger imperfections from the scanned image.
Auto crop – removes white space from the edges of the scan.
Revert image – returns the image to the original scanned version.
