You can enter information most efficiently in a data window when you follow some input guidelines.
Tab key – press the tab key to move between fields.
Alt+ the underlined character – moves to that tab or field.
Data windows controls are color-coded as described below:

Control |
Description |

White |
An enabled control. You can add or modify information in this control. |

Yellow |
A required control. This control must contain information. |
|
Green |
The current active control. |
|
Grey |
A disabled control. You cannot add or modify information in this control. |
Data window controls can contain default values.
