Working with the Scheduler

image\scheduler_icon.gif This command is used to schedule an order from the Ordered worklist. Scheduling an order requires specifying the procedures and selecting the time to perform the procedure.

To schedule an order:

  1. Select a patient from the Ordered worklist.

  2. Click Schedule Order from the navigation bar or press Ctrl+S.

  3. Click the Appointments tab and click Search to find the next available time or click Search Criteria to narrow your search to specific weekdays or times.

  4. If the time is not acceptable:

  5. Click OK to finish scheduling the appointment.  If there are associated letters or reports, the Print Documents dialog opens.

To move an appointment, position your cursor on the colored bar and drag the appointment to a new time.

To increase or decrease the amount of time for an appointment:

  1. Select the procedure row.

  2. Click the Duration Modifier to increase or decrease the time

 

To add an additional procedure:

  1. Click Add/Edit in the Procedure Selection section.

  1. Select the modality type using the Group buttons. Optional, search for a procedure code by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the Procedure Code Search (optional) box.

  2. Select a study from the Group drop-down list.

  3. Select the studies in the Studies box.

  4. Select the procedures in the Procedure Code Recommendations box. The studies and procedure codes appear in the Items to Schedule section.

  5. Click OK.

Requested procedures

Displays the options for selecting procedures including associated groups, studies, and procedure codes.
